With the conclusion of the main event it was now time for the organisers to first bring all guests that had purchased items to a secure room to safely transfer them over.
As such Violet and her friends were soon greeted by one such attendant, but not just any attendant, no it was none other than the hostess of the auction, Olive.
She was a truly beautiful woman, standing just a touch taller than Violet she had long silky black hair currently tied up in an elaborate braid. Her eyes were a brilliant green and were currently slightly crinkled in happiness as she gazed at Violet from the door.
After a moment she dipped into a low curtsey, again showing plenty of cleavage that drew the eyes of all present, then she spoke up in her smooth and melodic voice.
"It is my great pleasure to have this chance to greet you Lady Violet, I do hope that you have enjoyed your time in our humble auction house. I am here to guild you to a more secure local and to assist you in any way possible as we transfer over all of your purchased items."
Violet noticed how she seemed to emphasise certain words she also held a intesity in her gaze as she took in every detail of Violet’s body. Violet was quite unsure as to what she was trying to imply, but she was quite sure that Olive was implying something. Still she didn’t worry about that for now and instead focused on what was important.
"Ohh I’m looking forward to that! Some of those items did look really fun! Oh also it’s nice to meet you too Olive! I’m Violet and this is Luna, Rose and Kirstie." Replied Violet with her usual cheer and a wide smile as she imagined all of the interesting things she would soon own.
Olive seemed to smile wider at her words and stood up as she replied. "Well it is a pleasure to meet you all too. Now if you would please follow me?"
With that she took a step back and gestured for the girls to follow her which they gladly did.
As Olive led the way she seemed to walk in an exaggerated fashion, her hips swaying with every step, curious as to why she walked in such a way Violet found herself observing the woman walk with interest. Seemingly noticing her stare Olive turned around and caught Violet’s eye and gave her a sultry wink before turning back around and confining forward.
They passed several nobles who were also being led by assendants of the auction house, all of them looking at Violet and her group in an entirely new light. A mix of utter incredulity over how wealthy the young beastkin was, along with a healthy dose of respect at how bold and decisive she was.
It was a nice change of pace from the somewhat hostile gazes she had been receiving prior to that.
Soon enough Olive led them towards a heavily reinforced door and smoothly opened it up and led the way inside.
Within the quite spacious room, a large and comfortable couch sat in the middle with a large low table in front of it along with a smaller but equally luxurious couch on the other side.
Olive gestured for them to take a seat on the large couch and sat down opposite them with graceful movements.
Now sitting she again flashed a wide smile at Violet before speaking up once more.
"Now before we proceed with the transfer of items I’m afraid that I mist insist on confirming that you do indeed have the guns necessary to complete this transaction. Not that I doubt it mind you, but with the sheer amount of money that you spent tonight I’m afraid I must insist on these formalities." She explained with a conciliatory tone.
But that didn’t bother Violet much as she happily summoned forth around 50 platinum coins instantly with a flourish. The sound of clinking coins rang out on the room and Olive’s eyes grew wide at the display of wealth once more. Then her gaze seemed to shift and a touch of colour appeared on her cheeks as she once more looked at Violet with a intensity that somewhat unsettled Violet.
She did quickly regain control over herself and continued speaking. "Well I can most definitely confirm that you have more than enough. With that confirmed please allow me to congratulate you once again." With that Olive made a gesture of her own and several decorative boxes appeared on the table before them.
Olive swiftly went over each box, explaining the item contained within and spent some time going over the details of each item once again.
Then came time to actually pay for all of her items and once told the amount Violet simply nodded and proceeded to first take everything on the table into her ring, before then summoning a small mountain of coins all stacked in neat piles, primarily gold but with several platinum coins mixed in.
Once the payment was complete Olive then went on to provide the remaining items that both Luna and Rose had purchased that evening.
Once that was complete Olive then proceeded to explain a couple more details about some of the things that Violet had purchased. Including details on the luxury meal that she had gotten and perhaps more importantly, details on what exactly would be happening regarding the final item bought. That being the chance to select a singular dragon egg just before being able to witness the hatching of the fresh batch.
Apparently it would take place in just over a week. She was invited to head over to the dragon farm first in 3 days to select her egg and then once again in a week to stay and witness the hatching take place. She would be provided with transport both there and back so would not need to arrange travel herself.
Finally with all of the formalities out of the way it was time for them to finally leave the auction house and retire for the evening. But before they could leave Olive spoke up once more.
"Lady Violet, could I have a moment of your time?" She then paused and looked at the other girls for a moment before continuing. "In private if at all possible?"
The girls seemed surprised by that but after a moment Violet simply shrugged and sat back down in the couch as Luna, Rose and Kirstie made their way out of the room, Olive showed them out before closing the door and making her way back over to Violet.
Only instead of sitting back in her previous spot she instead sat down besides Violet and looked up at her through fluttering eyelashes.
Violet looked at her in curiosity for a moment before hesitantly speaking up, feeling slightly odd about how close the other woman was to her.
"Umm, what was it that you wanted to talk to me about Olive?" She asked with a curious tilt to her head.
Violet thought she heard a slight squeak come from the other girl but mentally shook her head and dismissed the thought as she focused back in on the woman before her.
"Well, you see, I wanted to get to know you better." As she spoke her hand gently reached out and brushed along Violet’s arm. "It is rare to have the chance to meet someone such as yourself and I would dearly like to get the chance to get to know you better. Plus I did say that I would be willing to do anything to ensure that you have a pleasant night."
Violet, seemingly completely oblivious to what Olive was insinuating smiled warmly at her and replied with her usual enthusiasm. "Oh yeah that makes sense! I don’t suppose you get the chance to meet many beastkin like me! I’d be happy to get to know you better!"
Olive seemed momentarily stunned by the honest innocence of the woman sitting across from her, her hand pausing against Violet’s arm as she processed what Violet had said.
Then her smile seemed to gain a warmth to it as she continued. "That is wonderful, I do have one quick question however." At Violet’s nod she continued. "I noticed that you seem to be particularly close with, Luna, was it? Would you be able to inform me of how you know her?"
Violet’s smile turned even wider as she happily spoke. "Oh yeah Luna! She’s my companion! Iv known her since I was tiny and managed to save her life from an ork! We have been together ever since!"
"Oh is that so? Well that is wonderful, how about Lady Rose?"
"Oh we only met her the other day, she seems really nice even though I don’t know her all that well just yet." Violet happily responded.
Olive smiled herself. "Well then, how would you feel about me joining yourself and Luna back to your hotel? We could share a drink and some food together and continue this conversation then?" Her tone again seemed to imply something that escaped Violet’s attention but she simply smiled as she responded.
"Yeah that sounds good to me! Let’s go then!"
